As you all know I'm a big dog lover. I'm grown up with dogs around and both my grandparents always had dogs. When I was young I always wanted my own dog but the time has to be right and back then I really didn't have the time for it. As time passed I set up some goals for me. Firstly, I had to get an higher education and secondly I had to be sure I got the time needed to raise a puppy.
This summer I graduated from De Montfort University in Leicester, England with first class honour degree. I moved back to Sweden and will soon move in with my boyfriend Lennaert in Holland. We both thought it was best to get a puppy as soon as possible and I did some research about kennels. There is a very big waiting queue in Holland for the breed we want (Borderterrier). And since my family had a male Borderterrier before, we decided to get a female. I found a kennel called Wästborders which is located in Gothenburg, Sweden. And there was a little sweet female dog left called Wästborders Lips. I visited her and it couldn't feel more right. What a lovely dog. That's her I thought. That's our sweet Pixel.

After she got vaccinated it was time to pick her up and go home. The trip back went fine. She slept in the car and got a little sad when she realized her mother Bertha and her siblings were no longer there. I tried to comfort her as much as possible. The first steps in the house were also a bit scary for her. "What is this she thought, why am I here?" But as soon as she realized that my parents were kind people she started playing with toys and ran around exploring new things. Then she got some food and ate it all up. She is such a good girl!
When it was time to go to bed she needed a lot of cuddle before she could sleep. She slept to 5 am and woke up and needed some more attention. I don't think I slept at all this night. I was too worried she would wake up and be sad. Here are some new photos of my precious Pixel.
